Guys
I just found out that russian builds go here.
This is my attempt at a 122mm t44
ive been looking at the russian battlefield site for reference.
I used the italeri t55 hull and zvezda t34 kits and a czech masters barrel with maquette wheels from antics in england...Great service
i made the drivers area in miliput and plasticard
all the kits i got at net merchants at home here in northern ireland
it a simple interpetation of a t44 i used the t55 tracks as i wanted this one to look a bit different as im building 2 other versions with 85mm guns
all comments welcome
regards andrew

it an actual prototype have a look here
http://www.battlefield.ru/en/armors/27-medium-tanks/95-t44.html
theres a few photos and a description of the tank
ive used the t55 tracks instead of the right ones which should be t34
i wanted to make it a bit different as
ive 3 different versions to do and its been fun so far

Andrew et al.,
Here's the Accurate Armour kit with a bunch of upgrades/ add-ons. I used the DML T-34/85 fr the roadwheels, fuel drums, turret hatches, grab handles and towing lugs. I used the Eduard PE for the Trumpeter T-55 for alot of the details and Trumpeter stowage boxes for the fender stowage. The tracks are from WW2 Productions. Let me know what you think.
Regards & Happy Easter or Passover,
Georg

hi georg
it looks great
its a lot more accurate than either of mine
ive seen most of the photos af them and they all look a bit different to each other, i took the easy way out with the engine decks which are simplified version of the originals
the 3rd one will be based on a trumpeter hull just to see what its like compared to the other 2 which are italeri based t55
ive seen some with level hull tops and some are steped
to be honest im picking out the main elements like wheels and tracks and guns and building up 3 of them
one will be post war
its fun so far i hope they turn out ok
ive had a good look at your photos and they look neat
thanks for posting them
id love to see a plastic kit of a few t44 versions
you never know trumpeter might do them some day
regards andrew
