You've done a nice job on an old kit Andrew !!
Seems you're off your British "What ifs" and onto a bit of a Soviet kick now !!! LOL
Cheers

Nicely done Andrew, I built this kit a few years ago and remember that the tracks are horrible though the kit itself is okay. Frank Glackin sent me a set from one of the trumpeter KVs which are almost right. One thing that you could do even now to improve the look of the kit is sand off the seam lines on the grab handles or even replace them with wire.

thanks for your comments
i realy enjoyed just building a normal kit for a change
dont worry John and Calvin i wont be stopping the whatifs ive a few to finish and ive lots of new idead to do,Matan the weathering i tried to keep simple and i never use kit decals as i prefer to paint my own as i usualy alocate my builds to northern irish units in the british army and it means i can put whatever unit i like on whatever vehicle i want
Pat i must sand off the seam lines it would improve it a lot it should be easy to touch in the paint, ive the trumpeter german kv1 to build the tracks look good in the kit
regards Andrew

Check out my latest whatifs on the Whatif Campaign
hope you like them

Great looking IS-2 Andrew. Best looking handmade emblems and turret numbers I've seen in a very long time. Weathering is top notch. Do the roadwheel arms swing to allow articulation on this kit?
Cheers!
