Pat is it not odd that the infantry soldier is the only one wearing the early war kit when the cooks have the later boots? Ignoring that an item such as this has been a long time coming, well done MiniArt.

Typical in all armies thar rear echelon types get the best gear at the expense of frontline troops
Also remember that short boots were supplied as a lend lease item by both America and The UK.
