Hi Everyone.

I just retrieved this model out of my stash and started building it. I have my doubts that this is the correct model in the box as the barrel of the gun is nothing like the picture on the box. Instead of a long, slender barrel as with 99% of Anti-Tank guns it looks more like a howitzer! Any ideas?

It may be the 76mm infantry howitzer kit. Perhaps yours was mispackaged. The howitzer was usually sold with a crew and a horse drawn team, but dimensionally, it was pretty much the same size as the 45 mm gun. Both kits were originally ICM products--Alanger acquired most of their molds after ICM went through bankruptcy and reorganization (it is now back in business as ICM Holding).

I agree, it sounds like the infantry gun....Model point made replacement barrels for the 45 AT gun, both short and long versions....you might be able to simply change the barrel out....

Maybe it got misboxed.. Oh well.. Have to look for the right one now..
