Hi all,
Any comments & feedback most welcome.
Dragon (orange box) PzKpfw II ausf F which was donated by a very good friend for me to play with.
First time I've fully used Vallejo paints & MIG pigments.
Looking forward to my nest build.
Cheers, Paul

Nice work Paul...weathering looks great ,I would maybe just drybrush a little grey over the square convoy light to clean up a bit of the paint that went over the edges..
I love these early war tanks and plan to get the new F kit but might wait a bit and see if Dragon brings out an F that is more representave of the French Campaign ..
Good on you
Rick

Hi Rick,
Many thanks for the comments. Yep you're right - hadn't spotted the rear light problem, don't you just hate modern
cameras highlighting stuff!
I'm looking out for a newer Dragon kit as well, would be interesting to compare the two.
Cheers, Paul

Hi Dave - thank you
The wood was base coated with Vallejo Buff then a coat of Light Brown painted in direction of the wood grain. Give it a couple of minutes, then get a wet brush and rub in the direction of the grain. This wears off the Light Brown a bit. Then once dry use a light dust of weathering powder (MIG in this case) to blend it in a bit.
You can do the same with oil paint, it just takes ages to dry. You can do a darker wood by using Light Brown base with Flat Brown or Burnt Umber top coat.
Hopes that's of some use. I just like to have a play with a few colours and see what I get.

I suspect if it is anything like the old Pz IV J and the new one, they are worlds apart. Be that as it may, you did a fine job on this one. I think the dirt and mud on the lower hull looks pretty good.

That's outstanding weathering overall, but you might need a little more at the back, and a bit more dust over the built up mud and dirt. Love it so far, though.

Hi,

Sounds like a good plan, thanks for pointing it out - hadn't really noticed it before. Time to have another play/tweak.

Hi Paul. Very nice Pzr.III, and especially the weathering on the lower hull, behind the running gear. IŽd agree with the other guys that this needs to bit more consistent on the front and back hull. Otherwise ... thumbs up!!
