Hi all,

Does anyone know what the color of Marine Corps M48s were in Vietnam? Were they olive drab or a color particular to the Corps.? Is there an exact match by one of the paint manufactureres or does someone have a mix they use ? A friend of mine is building the Tamiya M48 and I'm trying to help him. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again-

Tamiya XF-73 is a good match for the period. At least for US Army. I don't know if USMC used the same or similar shade, but it still "looks" right to me, although I've not done USMC Vietnam armor. Not yet anyway...

There's another "hint" for anyone following my hints.

They were Marine Corps Green. ModelMaster did a servicable job on this colour. It's similar to European Green, but with more black.

Tamiya JA army green is a very good match for the OD the US used in Vietnam
