I am almost done with the figures too.
I am not sure if the rope is visible which i used to attach the back stowage.
Is there any obvious fault that you see at first look?
all critics are welcome.
I am just posting 3 pictures if interested you can follow the link to see all the pics.

Very nice! I especially like the stowage. Can't wait to see it with figures added!
That's a nice touch with the turret star under the track tool, Lots of people either move the marking or put it over the top of the tool -- you did it right.
Are those the kit markings or did you use aftermarket?

Nice job. I like all the 'stuff' you added. Love seeing that.
Can't tell if it's just the picture or me - the front star seem a bit to clean.

slodder; I think it is the flash that made it more shiny than it is
take a look to the other pictures maybe you will see the difference
but when i get back to home i will take a carefull look at the front plate.
thanks

Very nicley done kit. I'd hate to be the guy with his gear tied to the rear fenders. Best case, your sleeping bag is wet and muddy, worst it's knocked off and gone. Same deal with the rucksacks on the front side skirts.

First, it looks realy good over all.
Couple thoughts. To what are the tie down rope attached on the rear fenders?
In the second picture, the one that's sort of head on to the turret, the mount for the .50 looks to be leaning a little to the port side. Could be tha angle of the picture, however.
What's holding the ammo cans in place, on the side fender and the two on the rear deck?
To what are the packs on the front fenders attached ?

Deadman.
Good work on this Tamiya kit---I've got one in the box and hope mine turns out as well as yours. The stowage makes for a lot of visual interest for the eyes. The paint job looks solid.
As some others mentioned, I also thought the bed rolls/gear lashed over the rear fenders would probably end up a muddy/wet mess, but the effort here is really well done.
Good job on this sir!

AJLaFleche;
yes you are right there are some unclear tie downs on the tank and need to be fixed
and i just realized .50 cal is leaned to one side.must be happened while handling it for photos(it is attached to turret with a steel wire drilled into it(why? don't ask )
for the rear fenders should i make tie down handle from wire on the fender?
i thought to put tarp on them but hate to close the detail maybe a camo netting is fine
for the front on my reference photos i saw lots of untied gear of some sort like the crate on the front fender .
Rob,
I am with same thought too. i camp alot and one thing i hate is a wet sleeping bag
should do something for that.

Adding some clear tie down brackets would eliminate the question. :-)
I've got the Squadron in Action at home. I don't recall if I saw any free standing stowage. Anything is possible. :-)

Remember on the Pershing/Patton that the rear fender had a bad habit of drooping into the track and that a turnbuckle support bracket was eventually added to keep the fender from getting torn off by the tracks. Storing gear here seems unrealistic, but it look neat. Don't get me wrong, your kit looks beautifully done.for the rear fenders should i make tie down handle from wire on the fender?

Hi Deadman,
that's an awesome kit you have there. However I have two little con's: The commanders' hatch has the molded "handle" by Tamiya. I have replaced this with copper wire. The other thing is the attachments for the crane on the turret's left side: you should drille holes in them. Tamiya has molded them solid. Other than I freally like the amount of gear you have piled on the kit. I have the book by Troy D.Thiel and on some pics you can see a large pile of gear on the rear fenders and engine deck ...
cheers - Andreas -

I'm going to go with my initial reaction to this model, before reading all the comments. I think this is a GREAT job. The painting and arrangement of the extra storage, which is what really sets this model apart, is one of the more creative and imaginative jobs I've seen. Perhaps a little more care could be given to how some of the storage is attached but overall I think it's a great job.

yes i saw mudguard is attached to superstructure by some kind of rod or something.
bu instead of scractbuilding i decided not to do it because in april-march 1945 m26 saw the its first action in germany rhein and cologne so they did not have time do that yet i guess.( in my time frame, it is done maybe at the end of the european theatre)
Do you have any pics that showing 2ad or 3ad pershings from rear?
I saw that modification mainly in pershings fought in korea.
ahueger; thanks for the needed modifications i will do what i can
I will post th updated photos when done
