I finally received the Bronco tracks for my Leo yesterday, and built a short run this morning as a break from soldering slat....they are a VAST improvement over the vinyl kit tracks to say the least.

Chuck, I began building the tracks as well. Tedious to say the least but well worth the improvement over the vinyl.

Here is a small update. Slowly, but surely working my way around the turret. I may add welds but as my time at home draws closer to an end we shall see. I may end up bringing this one back to school with me

So last night I was able to work on the right antenna as well as the ECM boxes and get them cemented onto the turret. I accidently shaved off two bolts in the process so I'll replace those. Next will be the other antenna and then working on the hull.

I can see the end of the tunnel as far as the conversion and basic building of the leopard goes...and approaching the slat fast.

As always, thanks for looking!

Sean

Love it...looks great. I guess I'm going in opposite order from you: I'm doing slat first, then tank. My logic being that if the slat just absolutely reduced me to tears I could always just change gears and make a German Leo,LOL. But after a few boo-boos the slat has actually become rather enjoyable to build.

Thanks a lot Chuck. Took a while but I'm being tedious so that I can be sure I get it right the first time.

Sean, how sturdy are those handles for the ECM boxes once you get them attached? I worked up the nerve to remove one from the pour block tonight, and man it's freaking flimsy but itself.

Not bad at all. I took tweezers and handled with much care. Also trimming was easy with a near fresh 11 blade.

Got some serious competition for my modeling free time this week; my sweet wife gave me the Tankograd German Leopard 2 book for my birthday this week, and the volume on international variants is in the mail along with the TG British Armour Evolution and British Next Generation Armour books...I'm going to be torn between building my Leo and sitting on the couch reading about them, LOL
