I like it.I did notice that opened cover over the other light looks a bit off level in the picture.
the dicoloration at the end of the gun is just right.

Very nice Scott! I really like the way you weathered it, and the weld beads where the rear armor is attached to the turrett look great. The only things you might want to do would be to paint the small marker lights at the front and rear corners of the hull, and to add the "U" shaped gas line between the rear 2 tanks. (I know you have based this model on the APG Enigma, and from your pics on FMJ I have seen that both of these details are missing, so if you built the kit to reflect the tank the way it currently is then ignore what I said ) I know it's still months away, but will this gem be making the trip to Havre de Grace this Spring?
Cheers,
Mike

That's a great looking tank, I think the ONLY thing you missed was the gaping hole in the side and the charred black interior.. #:-)

Looking great. What is your opinion about Cromwell conversion set? Did you have any trubles with it?

Wow!
Even amongst all the T-55's soon to be gracing model show tables, this is a standout!
Like someone else asked, will I be able to drool on it in person at AMPS 04 or AMPS East this fall?
Raises the bar for -55 variants everywhere.
What paint did you use?
Did you do it overall green first then overspary, or is this a one coat paintjob?
How was the Cromwell set to use?
Mike

Well I need to invest in some background materials, because my work area is light wood with a white wall behind it, so I think I might have had too much light from work lights when I took the photos....

Well the biggest problem with the Cromwell kit is that the directions where very lacking and from what I've read Gordon was supposed to do a revised set. I've been wanting to build this vehicle for YEARS and I couldn't wait for them so I put it together with out them and really didn't have any problems with it except with the brackets that hold the front armor blocks to the front hull. Gordon told me what they where and I was able to proceed.
I'll have it at AMPS East in Septemeber and at the Nationals in April if you want to see it in person...do to the lighting I have some of the discret weathering got lost in the photos

Alright, I give. This thing is living up to its name for me. What the heck is a T-55 "Enigma." I presume that those are big blocks of bolt-on (reactive?) armor? What's the story?

Well I think the name comes from Intell sorces not knowing what the boxes where made out of. IIRC they where just boxes with Aluminum plates alternating with rubber inbetween each aluminum plate, worked pretty good agaist ATGM rounds from what I've read...

A great piece of work. I saw one of these in a parking lot in Kuwait City in 1992. You have captured the look quite nicely. Congratulations. Will you be taking it to any shows in the near future?

One more reason to do AMPS East this fall! :-) Great looking tank.
