I'm just tinkering with Italeri's 1/35th BM-13 Katyusha and it's a great kit apart from the tyres, which are always sticky, eat any styrene plastic they come in to contact with and seem to be resistant to any paint or lacquer known to man.

Does anyone know of a replacement resin wheel or tyre set for what is otherwise a great kit?

Maybe some US6 wheels would fit the bill ?

ZiS-151 wheel :

Studebaker US6 wheel :

even if the tire thread is different (the US6 had non-directional tires)

Hussar Production has released some US6 wheels :

Ital/Zvezda BM-13 is on the ZIS-151 chassis.
So for it pass only ZIS-151 wheels.
New firm from Russia make it!

I have a set of resin C.G.M. Production GMC Early Pattern wheeels that would fit it just fine. They are basically the same as the ZIS-151 wheels with six slots and 6 bolts, etc. They also have the chunky, deep mud tread on them. I am selling them for $15 if you are interested.

I stand corrected. You're right it's a US6 wheel Here's a ZiS-151 one (from Primeportal again) :

The rim looks quite close if not exactly the same if you ask me....

I think I'll try and track down some Zis wheels with that distinctive chunky post-war tread ... thanks for all the feedback!

The wheel disk is the same but the tyre is difficult.
C.G.M. Production make a Firestone tyre. Like HUSSAR and TRAKZ.
This tyre is very different tread pattern and number of lugs or cleats from Russian one.

GUNSMITH company from Russia make true Russian I-94 tyre
most useful tyre for ZIS-151 in USSR.
