Hey, guys ... haven't been around here in a while (hope you don't hold that against me!). Just in case these pics look familiar, yes .. I have posted them on another site. Sorry for the repetition, fellas ... but a buddy suggested I add these here. So here they are. This is the nearly completed interior of the 1/35 scale T-34-76 Model 1942 from AFV Club. The model builds up to a nice representation of the real-deal.
Up front is your basic white while the engine compartment is finished in Vallejo cavalry brown - replicating red-lead primer, with other splashes of color thrown in where appropriate. It is weathered with oils, pigments, pastels and a generous amount of "nose-grease".
A full-build article will appear in an upcoming issue of MMiR.

Thanks for looking,

Nice work. Did you left the exhaust pipes not hollow on purpose? Will continue to follow...

Very nice finish Mike. Great to see the interior done so well. Will you close this up with views only via the hatches, or will you leave the top hull loose?

Thanks for the terrific comments, guys ....

Anthony - My intention is just to make the model "believable" without the sacrifice of being visually pleasing at the expense of realism. It's a difficult trade-off !!!!

Mirko - The exhausts actually extend further through the T-34s rear plate, so what you see in the images are not the actual open ends of the pipe. The remainder of the exhausts will be installed on the rear plate later.

Frank - The rear plate will be permamnently affixed, but the model has a completely removable engine deck, so at least that portion of the engine will remain visible. As for the fighting compartment, what you will be able to see through the driver's and large turret hatches will be all, I'm afraid.

Thanks again, fellas

Hi Mike. Great finish. I have mine on the workbench and your images will inspire my interior. Hope to see that article on MMIR soon.

Thanks for the really nice comments, guys. I truly appreciate them. The model is not without its inaccuracies (reportedly being a scaled-down version of the 1/16 scale Trumpeter kit being partly to blame). But, it is still one heckuva 1/35 scale model and really fun to build, paint and weather!

Mike
