Just the one picture for you guys today. The Friulmodel tracks went together VERY well and the result is pleasing. They were "blackened" with CARR'S weathering solutions.
More chips to be done on the running gear ...loads more dust and a few little items to finish.
PS I know you all will have spotted the obvious lack of dust on the top / forward section of the tracks (port) side.
This will be remedied.
So.....whos up for the North Africa campaign......GUNNIE ? SCOCCIA ?.........
Hope you all like.
As usual, comments are welcome...good or bad

Hi
Very nice model...the model is a Zvezda or Italeri?
Because i'm doing an italian semovente m40 75/18 of Zvezda and is quite good

I believe these kits are the same molds.

Very nice job. It looks pretty well worn without being weathered to death.
I just picked up the Tamiya version off a discount rack and I've been thinking of building it for the North Africa campaign. I understand this is a better version though.

This is the Zvezda kit. This does NOT represent the M13/40 and has to be modified.
I cut out the longditudinal vent covers on the engine and replaced with vertical ones. The radiator housing is scratch built as is a few items.
Hopefully the desert campaign will kick off soon. I may have to wait before I finish this or else I run the risk of completing a model before the start date of the campaign. #:-)
I will never buy another Zvezda kit unless I REALLY have to I am not in a position to comment re Tamiya.
If Zvezda want to send me a kit to build and change my mind. They only have to offer!!

Lord Martinus,
Excellent! I wish I had some criticize to offer, but I don't. Because this is exactly how I envision a desert tank in WW II. EXCELLENT! Keep up the good work. You know what, I wish the desert campaign don't start till you finish it. because with skill like this, I would like to see more of your stuff.
Martinus, I think your talent is wasted on stupid armors, you should do a plane. #:-)

Good work Desert-Fox!!! Unfortunately due to family problems I couldn't go ahead with my L6/40. I'll go for the NA Campaign with it.
Venom the molds originally from Italeri were leased to Zvezda which is still marketing the kit as M13/40 but its is more close to an M14/41 than to an M13/40.
Ciao
