Hello all! this will be my attemp to build Tamiya's 1/48th Tiger. It's only my second armor build so any advise and or help would be appreciated.
TIA
This is my first try at painting tracks. I used a mix of burnt umber and black then sprayed thinned MM rust. I'm trying to figure out what to do next on them so any advise would be appreciated.
My first time usinf photo etch. I went with the simple approach by only buying the screens. It was much easier than I thought it would be.

Nice job. I think the tracks look good. You just may want to dry brush a metallic color on them.

Baltazar: Looking good there. You can add a dark wash to the tracks if you wish, and I would definitely hit them with a silver to bring out the high points, but in your case I would do this with a fairly high amount of moderation given the color of the tracks (It looks like they are in more contact with soft ground due to the color, but this may just be an illusion from the colors picked up by the camera). Nice choice on the PE, those screens are always a must in my opinion

for the steel colour on the tracks I like to use pencil it has just the right amount of metallic shine without looking too shiny. I basicaly do the same thing as dry brushing with it hitting only the high points and places that get constant wear. hth.

Thanks for all the tips everyone! I added a dark wash to the tracks and some steel drybrusing.
I was able to finish up the build today and I'll spray on some primer tonight.
