Since I mostly build aircraft models I have never posted at this site before, I needed a break from airplane models and decided to build the 1/48 scale jeep from Tamiya.
The model was built O.O.B. and painted with Model Master enamels.
Thanks for looking!

It came out real nice.I like your amount of mud in the wheel wells and undercarriage.Your photography, especially the first two shots is very convincing,it looks like the real thing !!

Thanks Tojo!
I don't build armor or ground vehicles so am clueless as to how to weather them, one thing I have in my favor is where I live...there are lots of off road trucks here and I got the idea for weathering my jeep from looking at how the mud and dirt looks on the full size vehicles.
I am also building a 1/32 scale Fw 190 and this one also has some dirt and mud splatters on it, doing this type of weathering is fun and may inspire me to try an armor model in the future.

Hi Les, your Jeep looks very convincing. Wouldn't guess it's 1/48 scale!
Hey, If you're thinking of armor, how about joining the 1/48 scale campaign here on Armorama, would give you a chance to learn from the others! (just click on my banner for Info and signup).
Cheers!

Thanks for the invite Stefan!
I think I will have to pass on the armor GB, my work table is filled up with Focke-Wulf's at the moment...but I HAVE just started work on the 1/48 scale Tamiya U.S. Army staff car, its not really an armor model but close!
