Nice clean build, but the last pictures where the kit is painted are quite blurry.

Graham: I'm in the same boat as you brother. I'm a fan of US halftracks and am liking your build so far. I actually just got the later version of this vehicle myself, the one where the mortar is facing forward. Looking forward to your next update.

Hiya Jeremy yeh thanks, i guess thats what happens when im a modeller not a photographer huh got the rear deck painted and chassis weathering started.
if ya nuts on halftracks ya might like the 1/16th m16 it staill needs dirtying up once i figure how to do it best with those horrible bubber band tracks (yuck) , these little DML kits are great tho they go together like a dream.
more soon .

thanks Stefan yeh its a damn good site lots of knowledgable folks here , small update got pin wash on and some mud uder guards, looks ok to me but not perfect but i aint done any of this weathering stuff before.
years ago when i started modelling there was no hi-tech stuff like there is now.
I do like this stuff tho its fun to use and the possibilities are endless, im wondering if the wash might be a touch heavy tho? i might try tone it donw after decals are on tomorrow when i add the overall dust effect.
still got to add the tools and headlights etc thats tomorrows project.
more soon,
Graham

Hey Andrew, oh yeh sorry forgot that bit its just mig pigment applied to white glue/matt clear/ water mix the mix is about the consistency of milk i guess.
i basically followed scale model medics video so its his idea so to speak but works great, i need more practice to get it how i'd really like it but it'll do for the first attempt.
If ya havent seen his stuff check them out there very helpful http://www.youtube.com/user/ScaleModelMedic
lucky i got plenty of these halftracks in the stash since them amd king tigers are my fav armour between doing the odd aircraft.
cheers,
Graham

Looks great Graham, and glad to know I'm not the only fan of US halftracks. I wouldn't mind picking up one of those 1/16 halftracks, but even on sale they are quite a bit pricey.

Thanks guys yeh it aint bad , they can only improve.
Jeremy yeh the big m16 is still $ 219 aussie , if i could find better tracks for it i'd be happier the kit ones are'nt that great but the rest of it goes together well i didnt strick any problems at all and you could prob tart it up heaps with extra PE if ya wanted i hate that stuff its too fiddy but i use it when its in the kits i just prefer to try and make the detail stand out with the airbrush and oils etc.
cheers,
Graham
