Hi I need some ideas from the people more experienced at the 1/72 scale on how you would start prepping, building, and painting this model. I'm looking to improve my skill and thought to myself why not ask someone on here so here I am.

Welcome to the forums, Jay.
You question is sufficiently vague or generalized to make it rather difficult to answer. We all develop our own methodology as to how to tackle a build and each one acts a a learning experience that will affect the next one. Have you built any armour before?
There's nothing special about 1/72 other than its small size. I take it that you are going to be building the Revell offering of this kit. That being the case, it's a good kit to start with. Personally, I always begin a tracked vehicle by assembling the lower hull and suspension. It is usually the most tedious and time consuming part of the build.
Since the kit in question has "length and link" track you'll probably be best off by pre-painting the lower hull and the suspension components. The road wheels have a rubber tire portion that would be a pain to paint after they are attached so might might consider doing them prior to attaching them to the axles.
With painting 1/72 and smaller items you need to take into consideration what is called "scale effect." Your paints out of the container will appear darker than they would if applied to a larger scale subject. Whatever the appropriate base colour you use, you should probably lighten it somewhat. To give you an idea about painting, you might wish to read the "painting and finishing" section of my build review of the Dragon Su-85M.
You might like to start a build log in this forum and show pictures of your builds progress. With pictures not only will we see how the kit goes together but we'll have a better idea of how to answer any questions that you might pose during it.
Cheers,

Ok I'm new to this site I'm sorry for such a noobish question. I've been detailing my questions every time I read a different post. You've given me, I suppose, the best "general" answer I could hope for. I've detailed a more appropriate question on a different forum and would like you to read that forum and continue helping me out. I've tried uploading pictures and I'm really confused on this sites picture upload. It sends me to kitmaker I've uploaded some photos and am unable to determine how to get my profile picture on here and was wondering if somehow kitmaker auto sends my pictures to this profile. Thanks for your understanding and help.
