I am looking to build a Czech T-72M1 with the black panther "nose art" as featured in the Wings and Wheels T-72 book and Echelon's decal sheet. Just wanted to check with those who know more about Eastern Bloc armor than I that: (A.) if I am looking at the W & W pictures correctly , the applique armor on the Tamiya front glacis is correct for a Czech M1, and (B) the Blast turret is the correct one for what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, if you're sure it' an -M1, the Tamiya hull works and you're good to go with the Blast -M1 turret. Check if the road wheels are 6 or 8 spoke. Not having said book or decal sheet it's kind of hard to say...

I've got pics of the former East German T72M1 in Calgary too.
