I received my HB Leopard 2A6M today from Hobby Easy. The plan is to get started now and try to post pics (I usually build slow). The kit seems to be the same old HB kit with immensely over-scaled no slip, under detailed parts and very weak attempts at weld seams. I will try to improve what I can but the plan is to build this right out of the box (save a Barrel Depot barrel I had laying around. Here are some pictures of the "Canadian" Sprues included.

The slat looks ok for a plastic kit and i'm sure they will sell very well.

Nice to see this kit released!

cheers

Slat does loo OK indeed. I wonder if HB would sell the sprues separate? Then again, the whole kit is probably only $25 at Lucky...

Did a few steps on the lower hull. The fit of the wheels to the road arms is sloppy, so when I do add the tracks, I will need to make sure the wheels are all square. I also noticed that the three half round bars (stiffners of some sort?) are missing from the bottom rear. I will add those with some Evergreen styrene

Nice start! The slat certainly looks ok, I guess for those who are willing it is possible to sand the slat armor down so its more to scale (I started doing this with Trumpeters chally slat)

OK, I tok some very quick progress shots late last night. It wasn't until this morning that I realized there were finger prints over the lens- hence the smudgy look. I have not yet attached the hull bottom/top and turret bottom/top. I am waiting to do a basic paint job before installing the periscopes. As the Hobbyboss kit is basic in detail, I bought the Eduard PE set as well as parts from a junked Tamiya Leopard to enhance the detail.
