This is my Stug III B for the barb campaign. the only thing done is a light fading of the grey using an airbrush!!! here is the pic!!!!
Comments are welcome. On a specific note, not further weathering has been done for this model!!!!! If someone wants to debate the colour choice for this particular vehicle. Wonder who that would be?!?!?!?!?!?! He should post an ACCURATE colour sample from either IMPS or AMPS. German Grey is debated enough so lets not argue. this is built for my enjoyment!!! STUG

Stug, looks good so far. The only thing that would change is the track's rusting on either side of the guide teeth. The road wheels (if it is still in use) would generally keep this area from rusting up too much.

Stug since you already addressed the color problems I won't go into that. In addition, the book behind the model and the workbench detail in front are WAY out of scale and the primer on the bench is totally wrong....LOL!

Seriously though, I love these vehicles and you've done a great job subtly shading those panels. Don't know if it's a trick of light, but looks like a seam line on the side of the barrel, may want to check that out. (++)

Paint the sprocket teeth steel because they wear.Ditto for the sides of the centerguides. And show wear on the surface of the idler which makes contact on the track.
And that is a very clean build, just like it has freshly arrived for use.

Good application of Panzer grau, looked off by 2% with pinkish tint, which is understandable for amateur modelers. Clean build, not enough glue used. No decals visible which is again an amateur mistake, but I suppose you will learn and try. Gun barrel looked nice, short and stubby like we expertise modeler does in China. #:-)

Overall, nice good build, Stug. one observation, you missed a couple spot on the road wheel, the rubber portion. But other than that, looked great.

It looks firsts off that it needs not any fading becauses it is alreadie too light colour.
Whiles there may be muche debates on panzere gray thers no debates that your colours is not panzer gray or also knowns as panzers grau.
Panzer grau is FS 36076 or RLM70 Yours model looks muchs more likes FS 36270 neutrale Grays After Jun 1940, Dunkelgrau or panzers grau being the only colour to be used on the vehicles. Because of the almost blacks colour of Dunkelgrau, The Importants phrases here being black colours. Please to see http://www.panzerworld.net/Colours.htm.
Interiours also doesnot looks like panzers buff. A more creams colour quite unlike titanim whit as it do appear. As in examples Models master paints # 2104
But I could be in wrong, and it is your camera what is being wrong with colours. A better cameras can solve that problems. Sometimes monotors of computer badly alinged and calibrated, but is not case here. I know problem is not my monitor of computer becauses I have always calibrated colours settings done professionally.
Notices white spots on road wheels. Probably from paintings on trees then cutting off.. Not rememberings to paint spots.
Some interiour works would be muchly useful here. This is example where one expert or even amerture in scratch buildings could have much oppertunity. Adds greatlie to hobby and makes much improvements. I understands that many can no afford after markit items always, so may profit on to learn scratch buildings skill. very fun. Gun Barrels look of seam. Learn to use of putty could be much helpful here to cover. or perhaps if finances alloe a after market barrel could be employed with greatlie nice affects.
Buildings look very nice and well dones. Not muche signs of glues.. Tracks no looks as muche rustee but like leathers. Reddis browns and maybe highlights of stel colours may improve. I see no weatherings yet, so much time for improvements to be hadd.
I agrees totallie that building is bests for enjoyments. But to do good job coretclie is bests enjoyments of all. I have some links if you decides to do some researchies on modelings subject. You can find that little work goes long way to making enjoyabl and nice too look at model. Looking forward to view and see more when you have done more works

There are manie nice and correct pictures for view on web.
Heres pictures of a StuG likes your much the same colors as yours who also is not panzers gray. Drawn by japaknees artist who also doesnt not knows panzer grau

One question, Mr. Uday, how you get your computer monitor professionaly tuned to reflect true color? by using Pantone color system? the reason I asked is because I am working with designer like 24/7, they are not like amateur one but professional desingers, one thing they keep on saying is looking at color on screen monitors are confusing, they can never get the color right, if you know a way to tune them professionally and accurately, I be more than interested to know, and will help us workwise. Thanks.

Stugster:

By the way, congrats again on the recent arrival of "Da mini Stug", and on your model here. I am sure you are pleased with both.

Regarding your Stug, this is a neat vehicle that is cleanly built with tight fit all around. As mentioned above, the slight barrel seam can be easily cleaned up-no prob.

I think some local dark pin washes and a light drybrush with mud/grime on the high points would really make this puppy snap but that's just my opinion though. The main thing is, you enjoyed the build. Congrats.

Steve

Looks realy good, I frustrated myself with that kit last year, could never get the fenders right.
Not to sound like a certain troll-like poster , but your roadwheels need a touch of your tire color where you cut them from the sprue. At first I thought it was a refelction problem but there's at least one that's off line from the others. The track rusting looks a little bright for my taste , but if you're happy with it, that's okay.

Cat, you're first. Uday does have some points, but we have to show progress pics for the Camapign!!! So the frigin' Kit is far from done!!!!!!!!

Uday, yet again you proving yourself to be uneducated!!!! The colour is correct!!!! It is RAL7021 Panzer SchwarzGrau (testors MM2094). The colours you have listed are RLM colours and are inaccurate for Wermarcht and SS vehicles!!!! The web sites are nice touch but yet again not good enough!!!!!! RLM 70 though a Shwarz Grau is a little too dark for german armour. Furthermore, it is documented theat the luftwaffe and the wermarcht had different standards for the manufactur of paint s for use on equipment!!! Now, just so you know YOU may have just lead some new modelers down the WRONG path!!! I am now starting to doubt you not only getting award but from even building a MODEL!!!!!

to everyone else thanks for your comments, most Items will be addressed this weekend when have to go back to the work bench. I deliberately put the sprue points at the top to ease touch-up painting. thanks for pointing out that seem!!! STUG

before you go crucifying Uday, just acknowledge that he obviously put a lot of time and effort into writing that post. While it may seem arrogant and elitist, at least his motives for trying to help out were sound enough. As hard as it may seem to, you have to admit he does make some valid points.

Cat, you need to be cool, no one is crucifing Uday. We are all amazed by his extensive knowledge on the said subject, and his attention to details. I am sure that your intention if good for trying to keep a calm environment in this forum, but no worry no one is going to crucifying him. I would love to have him comment on my work, I am sure the people whom frequent here a lot will handle it maturely and won't be offended.
