Just a couple more in progress pics of the IS-2 showing what I have done in trying to improve my earlier efforts based on the reply comments/suggestions from my earlier IS-2 in progress RR thread.
Based on suggestions, I have tried to incorporate a number of rust/brown pin washes in all nooks and crannies in addition to drybrushing roof brown, mud, and rust in corners and damaged areas.
I have also significantly reduced the amount of drybrushed steel based on earlier comments, but have retained some because ---I just plain like the way it looks so its staying(lol).
Fruil tracks next--and then she's done.
I am not trying to beat this model into the ground by posting more pics of this effort. I have made some serious attempts to follow up on the earlier criticisms/comments and wanted to show the results. I sincerely appreciate the helpful comments that are provided by other modelers. Thanks.
Steve
ps: I promise---no more in progress pics of this (lol)

I don't know how you could have improved much on the last pics. This one really looks great. Be sure to post it with the tracks.

Lord WWH,
Great improvement on an already awesome model to begin with. The amaterurish dry brushes are less evident now. Yet, I think too much glue is used inside. The inside hull color is not visible, yet I am sure they are incorrect which is expert and amateur differs.
Still no head shot of the lens, which is somewhat a disappointment. Nevertheless, good attempt and try, you will learn and try.
I am sure our Mideastern Brethen will have more to offer.
