I'm using the Trumpeter ASLAV kit as a base, pretty much building all the ad on armour using evergreen sheet. Going to try to get this as accurate as my skills allow. Photography is not a strong point so please forgive the poor quality of my pictures.

I've pretty much sanded off detail and plugged holes. My plan is to attach the add-on armour first then proceed with the finer details. I will not be attaching any figures or scratch building an interior pretty much a closed up parked vehicle.

Any constructive criticism is welcome along with advise.

Emil

Looking good so far, if you need help at all with the Coyote send me a PM and would be happy to help out. I have plans for the add on armour if that helps, which you can make templates from.

I've got a little update to post,

I'm pretty much done putting the add on armour on the left side of the upper hull and I'm starting the ls lower hull. Here are some more pics.

I had to move the antenna mount forward a couple of mm

Any comments welcome........ My only decision will be whether to scratch an interior or keep it all closed up (I know I said otherwise in my earlier post but I am thinking). Really depends on interior refs on the Fire Support Vehicle which this one will be. I've also broken down and purchased the metal barrel for the main gun.

More to come sometime.

I wish you all the best for this one and will follow it with great interest.

Anthony,

Been reading an article in Model Military International June 2010 by Jim Wechsler in which he has written a History of the Coyote. He refers to the Vehicles outfitted with the Surveillance Suites (both mast mounted or remote) as 'Battle Group Surveillance Suite' and Vehicles without the sensors as 'Direct Fire Support Vehicles' naturally being an airplane guy I don't know any better when it comes to Armour.

The Command is the one which I want to build.

As to the build I'm at the lower hull ls installing add on armour in the wells and trying to figure out how to fashion the rear external fuel tanks. Will add pictures shortly.

Really do appreciate all your help!!

I have been using your online pictures and Ken LeClair's DVD pics as reference along with Miloslav's help to piece this all together.

Small update, I didn't like the original fuel tank I had made so I tore it off and redid it. Still not perfect but much better. Like always critiques welcome.
