So here is the inspiration for a side project of mine. ( Well, this and the loosing streak of my Buffalo Sabres!) An M41 abandoned with the colapse of the S.Vietnamese gov. in 75'. It is now being used as a monument at the CuChi Tunnels.

So, far I have applied a series of colors to represent the bare metal and rust that will show through the sun bleached and corroded standard O.D. Green paint scheme.

The base color was applied as Tamiya a mix of XF27 Black Green & XF-69 Nato Black. This was followed by a laquer barrier & hairspray. Next I applied a variety of rust tones mixed from Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red, XF-64 Red Brown, X-6 Orange, X-2 White, & XF-4 Yellow Green.

This one is a side project in an effort to get this "Hairspray" technique down to a science. Many thanks to Rob "Scratchmod" for a massive amount of inspiration!

Lain hello. That looks great. the demarcation lines on where you chipped off the top layer are VERY smooth. I'm not sure i'm expressing this as to be understood. When i've done the technique, and pictures i've seen just look rougher somehow. Maybe just the photo? Anyway LOOKING GOOD!
