I'm putting together the pieces now to build a T-55AMV...I got some decent photo references, but I'm perplexed a bit by the ERA bricks. I know there are 3-4 different types of bricks being used on it, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which is which.

Look at this photo:

Then I have these drawings

Going by that, the front most ERA bricks on the pointed array of the turret should have the thickest out of the ERA brick types (as seen on skirts on the topmost photo), but they look like the standard ERA type bricks in that photo.

I know that Modelpoint has the "thick" ERA bricks, but with very limited availably and only 9 per package, it would get really expensive trying to do the side skirts with them, but I've seen photos with just the upper part of the side skirts fitted with ERA so that might be an easy way to get around that.

Then to throw a monkey wrench into this, I found this setup!

I'm hoping this is just a mockup and I can ignore it...LOL

Hi Scott,
Miniarm make Kontact-3 type A ( the rectangular ones ) 100 packs and
Kontact-3 type B ( the wedge shaped ones ) 50 packs. These are the longer ones on the turret images, I don't know about the stubby ones shown on the side skirts in the first image. Thanks for the drawings.
good fortune,
James

James.

I know about the Miniarm ERA sets, I have 2 of the first set coming and I already have the Modelpoint slanted ERA bricks.

As a side note, is Modelpoint out of business? I see them on Russian retail websites but they are pretty depleted in stock also.

Yes Modelpoint is still around. It is Modelpoint.US that is gone.
