That sure is one big turret. Who says size doesn't matter. Looks really good to me, especially the weld seems. Paint, rusting, posing of figure, all looks well done.

Ahhhhhh Alasdair, this is looking very nice indeed, the colouring/weathering on the front of this beast is very nice indeed. Very nice weld seams - where did you get the idea for these??

See you at euro in a few weeks mate - I hope you bring this wee beastie along with you.

|All credit for the welds technique to you my friend...glad you like my humble attempt...WHEN is the full art comming...??

The weathering was with the MMP Weathering Powders (I decair an intrest in these)..which being pe mixed with PVA grip really well...if you breath on the model and dry brush you get that streaky look...

Cheers for the comments guys

WOW! If that fig wasn't there and you had a realistic backdrop I would have thought it was a reference pic of the real thing!

You may not have finished up the light yet but it's the only element that is looking a bit too "shiny and new". Otherwise can't wait to see the finished work. Are you building a dio around this?

Cheers,
Jim

Very nice. I love the welds on the tank - did you do them yourself?

The figures looks good - I would touch up on the putty near his lift shoulder.
In looking at the tank - the spot light looks like it has 'something' onthe bottom ridge? Can't tell really - it just looks a bit 'off' in the picture.

Nice weathering and those welds are well made! The rust effect combined with the dust, really make this look realistic. Should be nice when finished up! Nice on slaphead!

Thanks for waiting...the Village Photo site only gives a limmited number of remote views...sorry I did not put up the direct link..I have added it now...sorry

?? the MIG Pigments...I have not used them...(declairing intrest) I use the MMP Weathering Powders...I prefer them as they are pre-mixed with PVA so, by breathing heavy on the surface you get a little mosture on the model, then drag a brush slowly up the surface to get that streaky look....thats the final stage, meth sprit washes of the same powders are done first , these are 'washed' backwhen dry with Hammerite brush cleanner / thinner (VENT WELL) the oil satins from the sprits and remove the MMP powders from the middle of the pannels..this leave the dust in the areas which it would build up...then I streak !!

Regards
