Hey all,
Working on the Trumpeter LAV III. Not skilled enough to do the "Repair and Build" of the other post but am pretty happy with the OBB kit. I am up to step 7 and am using the Picture DVD to keep things straight. Still learning with these PE parts... freaking delecate and touchy...

Rob
Getting there keep posting more photos as you go, looks better than mine, which is still in the box.

Looking good so far, don't forget the winch as I see you installed the fairlead on the front hull.
If your unsure as to what parts to use with the winch check out this thread

Nice scene - it really depicts the tight quarters the LAV had to squeeze into. Remember to paint the brass PE parts green too.

Hi Rob,
Just starting to build a Lav III now which is my first crack at modern armour, so reading what you done is very helpful. Couple questions
1) What is your walls & diorama base made from??
2) Does anyone know what I would need to make a kiwi one my understanding is wheel hubs & exhausts are different as well as most of ours have their bolt on armour in storage?
3) Aslo the kiwi one I want to try making would show the whole underside & drive compoants , what is the best kit to use in that regard?
Much thanks for any & all help, transplanted kiwi in Aussie
Ta Mike
