Welcome aboard Arcadios! Which side? I would keep the green theme but weather it alot. Also the factions in the Lebanese civil war usually had slogans and pictures of leaders. I don't have any pictures of BTRs in Lebanon but I have others that show what I mean.

didn't care about the side. The overall green looks a bit plain and try to find something more "cool".
about the markings i've got the Bison decals "sherman tanks in Lebanon 1954-1980) . Lot's of slogans there and i guess that will be fine for the BTR

Hi
Ive got the very same subject part built myself mine is the Azimut Best value kit.
As far as reference pics a bit of searching the net does produce quite a few photos all of which do seem to be of standard dark green colour.
The Lebanese forces militia btr152 zu23 combination would probably carry the red or white cross symbol.
Possibly btrs supplied by Syria may have been in green grey sand 3 tone camo but dont have any pics to prove it.
The civil wars guntruck book has a photo of a mourabitoun militia btr with arabic slogans.
You can also see a btr with slogans at 5mins 50secs of this video

I have 2 pics of Lebanese forces militia BTR-152 but I dont have a scanner to scan them and post them here, the color is Dark Green, and if you want to build a Syrian one you can keep the DG and add some dark or desert yellow camouflage, I have built a Syrian BTR-152 maybe I post some pics

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=aa27ed8e83b75b4a4682484bbe60d79f

Hi Arcadios
Have you already seen THERE
THERE
AND THERE?
The A. S. L. used the two blue camo pattern but I don't know if they painted our BTR in that scheme
http://www.alsminiature.com/als.camo.html
I've always seen the ASL BTR 152 overall painted in sky blue
I hope it can help you
Cheers

Thank you Mauro, the alsminiature site is a real treasure chest
I'v seen the all sky blue BTR, but my first thought was that the colour was a museum repainting. ...
it looks really different from all the BTR152 in scale out there... i think i'll give it a try.
any ideas if there is any decals available??

You're welcome Arcadios
I don't know about dcals
Decals for tanks are always a problem
But surely you'll find here in Armorama someone who knows more than me.
Cheers, good work

What a great build! It really turned out nice in the SLA blue. I think a figure would be a nice addition for sure. Maybe one of the MiG ones - the Iraqi one might work well.....
