Guys,
I'm seriously considering getting PSM Leo2 Barracuda conversion. With the -19% for non-EU purchase and additional -15% Christmas special discount, it would be a shame to miss.
I would like to know what else (other than HB Leo2 CAN kit) is there to help me out in building a Canadian Leo2 from Stan. Replacement tracks, slat armor... any other bits? I'm trying to figure out how much would the whole project cost before I venture in that diresction.
Thanks,
Mario

OK, I found this website: link
and as far as I can tell, they do list all the upgrades available at the moment. Which would you suggest of using? I found Eduard slat armor review here on Armorama, so I figure that would be one of the must-haves as the plastic slat bars in HB kit are probably way too thick. Tracks, smoke dischargers?

Mario
if you need help with your build or have questions feel free to PM, will help you out as much as I can. I have lots of good reference and first hand knowledge.

The Echelon decals are a must-have.
For a basic PE upgrade, you should be safe using any set designed for the Tamiya Leopards as the HB kit is in most cases dimensionally very close. At the very least I would strongly consider using PE cooling air intake grills and tool clamps.
I think the PSM 6/2 smoke discharger set is the best and only one available at the moment.
I personally wouldn't replace the barrel - but I don't think that filling seams is that much of a hassle.
The Bronco tracks are the best indi link Leo 2 tracks available in my humble opinion.
If you wish to depict a Barracuda covered Leopard, then you have the option of using either the PSM or the Cromwell resin conversion sets.
The PSM update set for the HB kit looks to be nicely done, though I think the T-shaped antennae bases look a little fragile in resin. I would personally go for the Real Models antennae set as the parts are brass (PE).
You may wish to wait for the Real Model update sets for the 2A6M-CAN. From the preview photos I have viewed, the sets look to include everything you would need to upgrade the HB kit.
Cheers - Dan

Thanks for the replies guys!
Yes, I have heard from Milo... he said Real Models will release a set with everything one needs for building a Canadian Leo2A6M. I find the Barracuda stuff very cool, but PSM offering is still pretty expensive... it is a brand new item; has anyone received their set from PSM yet? Any first thoughts?
