Does anyone have any suggestions for glueing the vinyl tracks for Revells RSO3??? Ive tried CA glue and regular model glue and neither seems to work. Ive even tried boiling them in hot water to make them more flexible and that was a lost cause. Please help as this is a great looking model that is completed except for this problem....

Instead of messing around with those things
Why don't you use Friuls of Modelkasten

Maybe he can't afford them, or he is a "out the box" builder.
Whilst I agree the kit supplied tracks are pretty grim in my opinion the Fruils are not accurate anyway.
I know many modellers rave about these tracks but in this circumstance I think they are way too big in scale. If you look at pictures of any of the RSO's the tracks are quite thin. Putting the Fruils on just look too thick and as bad as the kit tracks are they are closer to the scale thickness of the originals.

I used cotton thread to tie down the rubber band track & disguised the thread with goop & dust....
I found my Italeri issue tracks wouldn't hold ename paint very well.

What about using Modelkasten tracks. They seem like they are thinner and are individual links. Also cheaper than Friul tracks.

thanks, I will have to try those as my tracks have been destroyed anyway by the glue and bending them into shape.
