My choice is an OOB Tamyia Sd.Kfz 222 Leichter Panzersphahwagen with markings for SS Das Reich . I think I am done with it #:-) I enjoyed the build, although it was a bit more work than an OOB Tank model.

I hope the Panzer Grey is close enough #:-)

closeup of the twine tow cable included in the box. I painted black, drybrushed silver, then drybrushed burnt seinna

I think I'm done with her. Any Ideas, suggestions and input would be helpful.
Thanks in advance. (++) (++) (++)

Not an expert in German WWII armour, but it look well equilibrated. Neat building, nice paint job and the right amount of weathering (this is my very personal opinion: I don't like excessive weathering).

One word, Awesome!

You, WWH, and Octu, are my favourite three mono-color armor builders. You guys nail this faded color.

I wish my mono colored T50 would looked half as good.

"El D"

As usual, you continue to provide rock solid, beautifully painted, presentations.

Thanks for the little tip on the tow cable, (I'll try that).

The lower chassis/wheel weathering is very realistic. The external spare wheel cover looks so authentic---and as before--your dry brushing skills make the whole vehicle just pop with detail.

Congrats---this is good stuff.

Looks really good. I, too, like the level of weathering. It looks like cars do here in Massachusetts from December to March. One thing...the driver's side headlight is just a little off level. Compare the slit to the fender behind it and you'll see what I mean. I know you went OOB on this so this is NOT directed at you, but too bad Tamiya didn't know how to make a Gerry can back then or at least add a dime's worth of plastic for a corrected one in subsequent releases.

You know, I really like this model, even though its a tough one for an amateur's first attempt. Sel made the project a whole lot easier by choosing this for his campaign build as well. I couldn't even think of coming close to the quality of work he has done and its evident here as I look at the final work and peruse the pics. I love his weathering style and his experiment on the cable on the front fender turned out awesome. Sad to say, mine will look similar to his when I finish up, but nowhere near as good, clean, neat or authentically realistic. I am learning from the master here at home and hopefully someday I will develop my own style and won't be imitating his work. But as they say, "imitation is an artist's greatest flattery." Congrats Sel on another awesome work of art!

That's a really good model! I have one question though, how did you get the dirt on there like that? Thanks for your time.

I scrubed some Plaid Hobby Acrylic Territorial beige on it. Scrubbing is like drybrushing, but instead of just lightly brushing to get the highlights, you scrub it on with a little more pressure

Looking at it now, I see what you mean Thanks for the heads up on that. Although you can't see the jerry cans very well, I did carve out the hand holds from the single larhe one to the normal 3 bar hold #:-)

Very nice indeed

Panzer grey looks very cool when weathered properly - and you've pulled it off nicely here. Just the right amount of highlights on the raised detail.

The dirt is nicely done as well.

Great build
