A few years ago I bought Arii's SS-12 Scaleboard ICBM Launcher kit (I forget the kit number). I LOVE the subject matter, but the kit itself was kinda sub-par...I won't go into details, but the bottom line is that I was never very pleased with the build, and for once it wasn't my fault! Does anyone know of any other companies that put out one of these suckers? It was hard enough trying to track down that Arii kit...

Did you mean SS-1C didn't you?
If i understood well, DML Dragon make an impressive Scud in 1/35 scale:

The only SS-12 I have seen was a scratchbuild in 1/87 scale many moons ago. Otherwise, the Arii kit (Which really IS a dog) is it.
The SS-12 Scaleboard is a variant of the Scud-B system ( Wiki link to brief description here Essentially a missile in a environmental protection cover.
If you wanted to build the "coffin", the DML kit should give you the base vehicle good enough.

The Arii-kit is very old and very inaccurate and I sold my kit some time ago.
For this (1/48) kit, one should do some rework.
But Dragonīs SS-1C Scud-B kit (in 1/35) is very nice and using some scratch-work, one can have nice results.

Mauro, I did mean the SS-12, and everyone else seems to agree with me that (a) there are no other SS-12 kits out there and (b) the Arii kit is less than desirable...
I guess I shouldn't be too particular about what missile is being carried, so long as the MAZ carrier is used. Thanks for the info!

Hmm, I know only one kit made by a germy company. It is in 1/87 and made of resin.

But perhaps this is to small.

Vielen Dank Soeren, aber ja, dieser Modellbau ist zu klein. Auch, ich finde Harz-Modelle zu schwer und frustrierend... Sowieso, werde ich nur den Arii-Modellbau haben. Kein Problem bei mir!
