These are the final pics of the Italeri IS-2, built oob with Fruil tracks.
I'd like to thank Dave Tong (SS-74), Frank (Plastic Battle), and Grifter for their pm's offering valuable advice/tips on Fruil track assembly, and for the candid comments I received from several others on painting/weathering techiniques.
This one did not quite get to where I was orginally hoping, but I sincerely appreciate the constructive assistance I received on this build.
As always, comments are appreciated. Thanks.
Steve

Very very nice indeed - I do like the metallic weathering - looks fantastic. The running gear and general sagging of the tracks is superb - very very lifelike. I really like it - a lovely example.

I can only repeat what the others say :-)
I love the weathering, and the slightly different tones. The sag on the tracks is awsome.
Well done Steve.
Plus Great Photos

To heck with redundancy, it looks terrific Steve. I love the "depth" of the green you added to this model. The Fruils really make this kit stand out.

Lord WWH, what can I say. This is simply WOW stuff, and excellent
I cannot find a thing to criticize, the whole build is great, the painting and weathering is top notch, and the tracks adds to an already great model.
Good work!
You Da Man.

You've done a great job weathering the track as well

Great Job Steve, where do you rate this one in all your work?
I like the dented fender (who did you dent the fender) and the one that is missing, those are nice touches.
I think need to need to try adding crew members to you stuff, you can do it, man, I know you can!!!

SteveWWH,
I really like the weathering and the color looks real. What green did you use? It looks like XF58 of Tamiya, right?
Keep it up and wait to see your next project post here.

What can i say that hasnt allready been said , this is a good build. The damage to the fenders is convincing , the sag in the tracks stand out (in a good way) . The dry-brushing to the welds is out standing !!

You have learnt well grasshopper!
Great work Steve. For Russian and german AFVs, fruils are the way to go. Excellent presentation.. overall. As somebody mentioned earleir .... you can knock these out like clockwork ...... methinks you need to start with figures. Its the only improvement that can be made to this beast!
