Hi everyone.
This is a call to all Armorama Russian Truck Experts. Does anyone know if there are any kits (resin or plastic) of modern Russian Trucks in 1/48 scale?
Such as Ural 375, Zil 157, Zil 131?
All I can find is 1/72 and 1/35, but no 1/48 anywhere...

UM makes 1/48 scale WW2 Soviet trucks, but I do not know if they make any modern ones. The three they make are based on the GAZ-AAA chassis.

Thanks! Yes thats the problem I'm having. I can find lots of WW2 trucks but I can't seem to source any modern ones...

Hi Jon
I am still hoping there will be some stuff from ACE. The ZU-23-2 is pretty nice and they have a pretty large line of trucks in 72 scale. There are some Praga variations from Ciro models (Czech truck) and Tonda made a GAZ-69M (but I was not able to find one yet) ... these do not fit your rather modern timeframe. I bet there is some russian garage kit production stuff, but nothing I came across yet... sorry.
all the best
Steffen

Thanks Steffen.
I posted this over on aeroscale as well as I am actually looking for trucks for 1/48 aviation dioramas. I need stuff to go with my Mig-29!
I have seen the Ciro Praga trucks, actually on the wolfpack box art for their su-27 cockpit they show a praga truck by the plane. Someone pointed out to me though that it was from an event in Slovakia and was not the correct truck for Russian or Ukrainian airfields.
It's such a shame because ICM make LOADS in 1/72 but none at all in 1/48. Maybe we will get lucky and ACE or ICM will release some as you say.
I tried Russian sources also, I am now in Minsk for the New Year. All I could find though were die cast 1/43 kits that were very expensive.
