The BMP3 was not deployed there, it entered service just as the soviet troops began to leave the country.

It's funny because there are so many photos of BMP-1 and BMP-2 and I even found photos of PT-76 in Chechnya!

Ive not been able to find a single picture of a BMP-3 in Chechnya, I always thought they didnt bother with them because the 1 and 2's did a good enough job. Would sure love to find one.
Come to think of it a decent photo reference on the Chechen conflicts would be good full stop.

I can't even find am markings for a bmp. This keeps me from going with a resin turret.

Marking close-up (I'm not sure it's the same vehicle...)
These pics come from a Russian book about Chechnya and appear to be vidcaps

On the Missing Links modern forum there was a thread on BMP3 in Chechnya with some photos of BMP3 including a few detroyed ones.
Use the search engine of ML:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/47209/message/1261229339/Trumpeter+BMP-3+pics
Sadly the scan of the article showing a column of 3 BMP3 isn't anymore on the web.
No proof of BMP3 used during the second war.
From memory the column was a mix of all green and 3 tons vehicles.
