It took a bit of work, but it's finally finished: SP Designs 1/35 KDKhR-1N Dal, finished with Tamiya acrylics, weathered with oils and Gamblin dry pigments.

Very cool diorama! Reminds me of a Chernobyl scene from Modern Warfare video game.

Very nice, always good to see something exotic! What kind of figures did you use, I was thinking about guys in NBC protective gear a while back but was to lazy to google... so now I simply ask you

Thanks guys. I looked all over for figures in appropriate NBC gear, but eventually gave up and decided to do it on my own. I bought a random set of Dragon modern Russian infantry, then used epoxy putty to make the suits. It was my first ever attempt at sculpting a figure, so they are a little rough in places. I have to admit though, it was so much fun. I'm definitely going to try it again (except heads...I'll leave that to professionals).

Hey David!
This is really cool and reminds me too on a video game
The figures look great, congrats on that effort. One question though:
For what exactly was this vehicle constructed or created?
All the best,
Andreas

What I love here in Armorama is I get to see not-so-mainstream Soviet vehicles that are superb and criply built!:D kudos to your work tovrisch!
I love how you made your NBC suit! gave me an inspiration to carve-out my own!:D
Cheers!

The backdrop makes this very atmospheric and the figures are pretty damn good for a first try! The vehicle is also great and rarely seen. Nice one David.

Very nicely done David, and the figures look good for someone just randomly grabbing anything. Keep at it and you may be one of those professional sculptors.
The Dal is a NBC detection vehicle, similar to the US M93 Fox. It uses air impellers, physical probes, and lasers to locate "hazardous" material locally or even at some distance (details are classified, but I have heard numbers of 2-4Km detection of some NBC materials by the lasers. No confirmation.)
