Yay ! finally done ! A few ups and downs but I got there in the end, and I'm pleased with the final result.
Trumpeter Challlenger 2, Accurate Armour Challenger 1 up-armour set, and scratchbuilt side-skirts, IFF panels and stowage.
Hope you like it

The last piucture clinched it for me, with the nice level of wear and tear on the upper surfaces. Are British IFF panels white? The ones I've seen in pic of US vehicles appear the same color as the rest of the vehicle. Really nice work on the skirts,I also like how you weathered the rubber parts. Excellent.

very nice work, liked the weathering, qusetion - what are the rolls on the side? I though maybe it was the thermal cam? but ruled that out as it would be too small i think?

Thanks fellas
Al - yep according to all the photos I've based the conversion on, all the Chally 2s in the gulf used white IFF panels
Ant- Not sure at the moment - I'm fast running out of space in my flat lol !
Phantom_Major - Yeah I would have loved some extra helmets/bags etc, pehaps I'll add some at a later date if I aquire some, these tanks can't have too much baggage !
Martin - Well tbh I used a bit of artistic license - originally it was a tarp roll that went wrong, but after a lick of paint looked ok, so I figured what the heck and added it, call it a spare dust skirt

John
An EXCELLENT piece of work. In particular the paint and wethering is outstanding. Can't see as it requires anything more. BZ

Superb piece of work...I have also kept the pictures as an invaluable reference source...You have done a brilliant job with the side-skirts as well....It really looks like rubber....Jim

John,
Very nice job on your C2, comparing it to pics I have I think the weathering and paint chipping inparticular is spot on. The one thing I might change would be to lighten the color of the "sand" skirts. Again I have several pics of Challengers in Op. Telic and they all appear to be a light buff colored canvas material. take a look in my gallery for a close-up shot (I wish I knew how to post it directly here) Again great job, I have one of these waiting in the wings and I hope it turns out as nice as yours.

Thankyou gents for all your kind words
I fell in love with the Telic Chally 2 the moment I saw it on telly, the side armour, dust skirts and IFF panels gave it an incredibly distinctive look that was so far removed from the likes of the Nato coloured version it looked like a completely different tank.
Mike - I think your right about the dist skirts, they are probably a bit dark but I kind of like the contrast of the darker colour against the sand yellow - kind of breaks the colours up a bit.
I might add some crew members at some point in the future, but for the meantime I'm going to put her in a nice safe spot in the living room, where cat nor fiancee can touch it
(she already managed to snap a few parts off my 109k in one of her cleaning sprees)
Again - many thanks for the complements, I'm really glad I took the hobby up again
