Hey there,
I've been absent from the forum for a while, and here's what I've been doing the last few days - a melting, distorted pocket watch. The inspiration came from the legendary Salvador Dali's painting "The Persistence of Memory".
The entire watch was made out of epoxy putty, except a piece of wire wrapped in paper holding the top piece (don't know an English name for it), the hands (cut out of plastic) and a piece of pin to hold the arms. I also left off a square piece where I'm planning to add the date. The date is going to be December 24th, 20:40 (the day and time when I was born ).
So here are the photos of the complete build:
(Sorry, the pictures are a bit dark)
Here's a photo of the watch next to my one (from which I copied some of the design):
Enough for now.
Comments and questions welcome.

I am stunned by this idea. Realy creative and outside of the box. (model kit box that is!). I hope to see more as the project developes for sure.

Great Idea with the dio!
Itīs a non-military one.. but a look is always interesting, because of the "famous-ness" of the painting by Salvador Dali.
I look forward to see next steps!
