i use sdkfz 251/ausf c from dragon, several figures from dragon too.
i use Styrofoam for base,

The building looks closer to 1/24 rather than 1/35.

i can see what Matt is saying, the windows are quite high for the figures making it seem they wouldn't be able to look out of them. looks like this will be tough fix at this stage unless you build up the rubble base to raise the ground higher.

Don't get it about the building, seems fine to me. It looks as though there are some steps up to the front door, so the floor would be 2-3 feet above street level as in many old buildings? Nice rubble and brickwork from scratch.
The half track looks good too so far, but beware that the water tank (between front seats) was actually only mounted in 251/8 ambulance vehicles (of course that may be what you're building!).

I think the photographs are deceiving here. As the steps are indicating a higher ground floor level, I dont see the problem. Big windows and high ceiling height are quite common in older city buildings. Ive seen many apartments here in Stockholm with ceilings at least 4 meters high! The windows wont look so big when frames are in place.
