Hi all
HobbyBoss Danish Leo 2A5DK OOB with dried oregano as camo net and Rustoleum texture spray as anti-slip surface. The details are not as good as on the Tamiya's version, it is OK for a quick build.
I wanted to model a modern MBT instead of being stuck in WWII And it was nice to try something new for a change.
Any constructive feedback is welcome.
Happy modeling
Ole

Excellent piece of work Ole. Very interested in hearing how you made the oregano-camo.

Hi all
Thanks for your feedback. It is most appreciated.
The oregano is the dryed version directly from the local supermarked and is "painted" on with diluted wood glue (white glue) in a couple of layers. The piece hanging down next to the gun tube on both sides is bandage covered with the oregano. Quite simple and very effective.
The green is Tamiya Nato green (XF-67).
Happy modeling
Ole

Hi Ole,
Not really a leo fan, but I really dig the oregano camo netting. D'you reckon that it could also be used for home made trees?

A lot of dried herbs can be used for leaves, like oregano, marjoram or parsley. Give it a try
