Hi, all! This is the 1/72 ESCI M4A1. I added armor to make it a late M4A1 dry stowage hull. I scratched into putty put around the armor to look like weld seams. I think that came out good. I also replaced the solid plastic lift rings with copper wire. Even though this is an old kit, it still build into a really sharp looking sherman. The only real problem was getting transmission cover to fit right. It was as if the cover was a few scales too big, but after lots of sanding it ended up looking okay. It had the best fitting and best looking link and lenght tracks I have used yet. I panited with PollyScale OD, and then drybrush with dark tan, and a black wash. Decals for a generic M4A1. What do you think?

Hi
nice model, well done..I like it
But two critics:
1)the track is too clean
2) this isn't a real critic but generally the crew eliminate the white stars on the us tank because there are too shovy and a well view-finder for the enemys. So the only star visible was up the turret
regards

Hey there-
The Sherman looks great! I don't know enough about Shermans to give you any constructive criticism... Looks vey good to me :-)
I especially like the depth you gave the paint job - a difficult thing to pull off with monotone paint jobs. Well done!!
Later-
Jeff

a nice well built model. As has been said before the tracks look to clean. But I have trouble with equating the pics with a 1/72 braille scale kit. So well done mate and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments. The tracks look dirtier in real life. Thanks jrnelson, for the comment about the paint job, I had alot or trouble spraying that PollyS paint, but it cleaned up great after drybrush and wash.
