Hello All!

Question... vinyl tires used by Trumpeter for the Guardian kit, do you guys prime and paint, or just weather after cleaning them with either alcohol and/or soap and water?

JUst asking, since I am about to prime the finished Guardian build. I built an AFV Stryker some time ago (tires seem rubber, and are 100% flat) I never painted them, just weathered them.

The paint, even primer, usually cracks and flakes off vinyl tyres when dry- and some paints just don't take at all. I weather them with pigments then drybrush with a dark rubber color.

Thanks, just what I thought. The pigments would kill the shine on the vinyl, my guess.
