Having finish building my first model, a 1/48 Tamiya KV-2,
(second technically, I'm halfway through a Bren Carrier but it's no where near the painting stage yet ) I realised one thing... I don't have a clue how to weather it!

It has a basic undercoat, and some odd marks on it from a dodgey wash I cooked up (I foolishly used fast-drying acyrillics), but I don't know how to weather it. I have a very, very basic knowledge of, drybrushing, washes etc. but I don't know how to apply them to this model.

So, what I'm asking is, using the following photos, can anyone help me to improve this model? Just some advice of what needs to be done to it to make it look good would be very helpful, as would pointing out any defects which need to be fixed. Also, I plan to add a Soviet flag to it but don't know what material to make it out of, could anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance, and here are the pictures:

You can get some insight from an excellent build of KV-2 by Sergiusz Peczek here. Pics are in wrong order, but they show the process graphically. You can always improvise.
