Hi Guys, I got a Marksman turret from AA and am getting ready to start a Finnish T55 Marksman build. I guess they were made with Polish built T55 hulls. Any places I can find a walk-around on such a T55, specifically the engine deck area (already saw the photos in the 'how to build T55 thread, which help, but checking if there's more out there).

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks! I'll be back to Finland this summer, and to Parola, with a chance of seeing a Marksman again (I have a fair amount of photos, but none of the deck!). These will help.

Mantlet is russian type so it must be Czeck and it can't be Polish

Engine deck is not Polish...(look at the engine hatches and note the hinges position)

Snorkel is russian type (or czech )

...not polish

Luty is right. It is a Czech made T55

Anyway Roy, these are really nice pics, thanks a lot for sharing

Well as you can see from the thread, I didn't know what particular T-55 it was only that it was a T-54 type hull with a T-55 turret. The others on the site said it was a Polish built vehicle so I left it at that. I guess they were wrong and I repeated the mistake. Now I know (well to be honest I'm not 100% convinced). Great thread by the way as I really like the T-55 second only to the T-62.
