Hi Folks, this is a follow on from my last post of this model. I have had to rebuild it after it ran off the road (read bench) and disintergrated at the sudden stop at the bottom (read concrete floor). So a rebuild was in order and while waiting for some glue to dry on the rest I dry brushed and detailed the rear canvas.
I would like your comments on this as I am trying to improve my painting skills to match the likes of some of you people. Does this look like the worn canvas of a truck? Still to come are clear coats and washes. All paints are Humbrol enamels. This rebuild is being done as a magazine article too so I wish to get it right.
Thanks in advance.
the whole thing
I used cotton thread as tie down rope
the cut out so you can see the tanker body

Please comment as I would welcome any suggestions. :-)

Looks great Cliff , only thing that i can suggest is maybe to add grommets where the tie-down goes through the tarp ? Use some putty then cut and shaped it to make the gromments ? The fade and dust gives it the well worn look , way to go !!

Wow! Can you teach us step by step on how did you do the realistic painting on that thing? It is very convicing to be more of a cloth rather than a plastic.
