Needed a break from cuting and sanding this afternoon. Was saved by these two small Vietnamese boats by Verlinded Productions.
A day without the AB is like a day without sunshine!
These will be in a very small vignette this will alow me to experiment with Vallejo's "Still Water" product.

Tell me about it, I've been stuck with my airbrushes for a few weeks now and have been stuck with rattle cans and paintbrushes.
Looking forward to this as always Iain.

a bit more progress today. Much more to do. A few washes and the eyes that are so characteristic of Vietnamese boats. A largely "animist" society, the Viets will paint eyes on boats to symbolise the "spirit" of the craft.

Looking good Iain.
Have you used Still Water before or are you just doing some experimentation with it? (I'd like to know how to tint it without losing the transluscent quality.)

Nice job on these two little boats. I especially like how you did the eyes!
What are you planning to do with these boats exactly?
Best regards,
Mark

Thanks for the kind words guys. These are a bit of practice for a LARGE Vietnamese Sampan from Verlinden. I hope to have a chance to work with these a wee bit this week!
