I am looking for some tips on how to finish the road wheels on my JS and KV tanks.
both had road wheels that were steel on steel contact with the track.
from most of the pictures i have seen they dont look like polished shiny steel.

Hi Dylan

(Using the advanced search you can find other interesting pics here: http://dishmodels.ru/wlk_main.htm?es=f )

In my opinion you should texturize them with a tiny coat of Mr.sufacer 500-1000 or liquid glue

thanks Mauro.
I am more looking for the part that rolls along the track. it would be bare metal, but most photos dont show it really shiny

Main wheels are made in metal

Idlers sometime have rubber rings...

and sometime they don't have it (look to the right of the first pic)

Was that what you need it ?

Passing graphite on the wheel edges you should depict metal consumption.

You're welcome

cheers
