First,I hope you do not mind I fixed the pic links!
Is it Revel 1/72 M60?
For a first (and I am a newbie myself) it looks very good to me.
Also, I wish I had the guts to try out the wooden camo scheme! For now I am only sticking to dull schemes (overall sand, olive drab, etc.).
Keep them coming!

Well, I should have realized it was 1/35 when compared to the size of the Tamiya painting stand!
Doh!
Then even more so: looks great!
Keep it up!

Not bad at all, in fact pretty darn good for a first attempt. People poopoo that old Tamiya kit, but I think it's a winner.
A bit of practise with that airbrush and the next will be better.
Don't you love the AFV Club tracks?
Tedious as all heck to build but look great when done.

As to the Tamiya kit, it is really old and has lots of parts simplified. The Esci M60s, recently rereleased by Italeri and Revell, are generally considered the best M60 kits out there.
Here is a comparison between them.

Nice job!
So the beginner should buy TWO kits to make one? I don't think Esci (and I have several of their M-60 series kits still) does the ERA.

No, thats not what I said. I am just stating that the basic M60 is better by Esci than by Tamiya.

No, but in essence that's what he'd have to do. It's a nice build. Period.
If I posted a photo of a bichin Centurion, based on Tamiya's old dog, I don't think I'd care that AFV Club's is light years better. I just want people to appreciate the work that went into THAT kit.
Moot point-like I said, you can't build that from an Esci kit without buying another kit with the ERA.

I was just answering his question. He asked why people don't like the Tamiya kit.
His looks great, as I said. I wasn't bashing his build at all.

Craig, congrats on completing your 1st armor build. Looks great to me.Paint looks realistically worn, and your weathering is just right.
Then again, I'm a newbie too. Waiting for the All American Tracks campaign to start my 1st tank. Looking forward to it.
