Hey Jim - what does "Miss Inaction" mean anyway? Seems like a thread you label like this isn't going to get the response you're seeking...
Secondly - did you read the update posting from a couple of weeks back?
There are no more approved Campaigns for 2003. The Campaign Committee is discussing what has been proposed already for 2004 - and whether or not any of these ideas will be elevated to a Campaign status for 2004 based on Focus Areas on Site.
For some ideas like the Half-Track and North African idea - they have been offered as Group Builds. These are not "campaigns" - but the modelers are working on them and I anticipate will have a good time. The Campaign Docket will only be updated when the Committee has decided on the next slate - i.e. 2004.
Is this any clearer for you? Is there something you still don't understand? Do you want to participate in these or any other ideas put forth there? Have you asked the idea's sponsors have they considered the Group Build format? The Campaign Docket will not answer these questions for you...

Jim,
I'm gonna propose Market Garden as a Campaign for 2004.... Your name "Pegasus".... I think there is no better name for that campaign then that one.... May I use it ?
I'm gonna write a proposal for approval by the Campaign HQ.... I'll keep your guys posted on the outcome.

Danny - when you do submit the proposal, please do it via e-mail. Do not post it as a thread. I feel this creates confusion and an impression that somehow the idea becomes "official" and a point for harping when the Committee has not dropped other activities to "approve" it immediately.

What I find hard to accept (Guntruck) is your lack of manners in answering a simple question. Do you understand what I mean? Or do you wish me to put into a simpler format?
Please don't respond in that manner, I am big enough and ugly enough to be corrected in a misaprehension... What cheapens the site are responses which may strike others a a petulant child....
I guess we reap what we sow - huh?
I can't please you and I can't please everyone jimbrae. I have already stated what I consider your posts to be all about. And, again, no valuable contribution to any effort towards improving the site. You come off as Troll to me. I don't treat Trolls with kindness, or at least as much understanding as I extended you.
This thread is locked down.

Jimbrae,
I honestly think if you look back on the title of your thread you are trying to imply that there has been no action on your campaign suggestions. I really do not think that is the case. I troll the forums constantly and would not want the job that Gunnie is trying to do. There are so many campaign suggestions tossed out daily that they must be very hard to keep track of. Just today someone suggested a Kursk Campaign as a follow on to the Barbarossa Campaign. I thought that sounded like a fine idea. The problem is, at least for me, is keeping track of all of the campaigns I have signed on for. The problem for the admins is setting up all of the campaign folders and making sure that everyone has all of their questions answered. On the face of it, it may seem easy to "run" a campaign. I have never run a campaign but I have offered to help out in any way I can on several (have you?). I found this site almost exactly a year ago and built a dio for the "window" campaign. I thought that was so cool. I don't have much of an opportunity to go to actual contests because I work so much. I received constructive criticism and friendly advice and have been here ever since.
Why not just turn your projected campaigns into groups builds? I don't want to quote Shakespeare or anything but I honestly think you "protest too much."
I am not trying to upset anyone, but man, setting up 100 campaign folders has to be a lot of work.
I hope I didn't offend anyone, but I am pretty good at ducking flaming bricks...
