Not sure what happened but BigSmitty hasn't been on since August 21. I'm wondering if someone else should take over.

I hope so I got a Dragon Pz I Ausf.A with Interior inbound for this Campaign. I would do it but I'm leading 1 that started this month, 1 that starts next month and i still have to submit the Dragon OOB. I still need time to build all these kits

I can run or help run this campaign in his absence if there is still interest in it. Just let me know.

I just checked BigSmitty's profile and sure enough-- he still hasn't posted since August 21st.
I guess it wouldn't be bad form for Jeremy to submit the campaign and lead it-- as a steward, if nothing else. Of course, I'm already signed up for 15 campaigns active in January and February, but they end at different times, so i think it's still a manageable (and enjoyable) effort!
Cool.

If Jeremy is willing to act as Steward, I'm still keen to do this camopaign! And if needed, I'll be happy to be his deputy...

Sal: No problem bud, we're happy to help
Very nice choice btw

Matthew: Those are old school kits, hope to see a lot more of those here. Veeeery interesting subject matter and that's what this campaign is for

Everyone, let us know if we still have 10 or more members interested in this campaign and I'll go ahead and submit the form.
Also let us know if the start date and campaign length are still good for all of you, or if you would like either of these changed.

Jeremy, just checked the campaign line up and it looks like there are 4 other campaigns starting January 1 but 3 of them are running for at least a year so I would say the time frame seams good being that most of the currently active campaigns end in December

Hello All,
I hope this campaign is still on as I have spent a lot of money getting AM stuff for my PZ 2C getting ready for the Polish campaign.
Cheers,

Yep, keep me counted in. Whatever date and length, I'll make them work for me. Still thinking of backdating a Tamiya M3, but might go the Mirage or CMP T26 route.
Thanks,
Sean H.

Our new roster thus far:

vonHengest (acting steward)
barkingdigger (deputy/XO)
windysean
ltb073
captnenglish
grayghost666

which brings us to about half of the members we need. We just need 4 more and I will submit the campaign.

It sounds like everyone is still good with the campaign start and finish dates, so I will leave them be unless someone requests an alternative.

Cheers

Hello Jermy,
You might want to send PM's to the ones that expressed interest in the campaign to see if they still want to.
If you want I can see if any of the members I know want to join up.
Cheers,
Bruce

If 1933-36 counts, then so do the recent Neubaufahrzeug kits.

Yes, most certainly!
I will be working on something from the Spanish Civil War myself, most likely a BT-7.
1939 will be a general rule of thumb for a cutoff date, but check the entry date of your particular subject matter's country into WWII beforehand.
Conflicts before or leading up to WWII are welcome in this campaign, which leaves a lot of room open for fans of Russian armor especially.

Hello Matt,
Can we build some of the cardboard tanks with the soldiers in them or trucks that had tank painted on them?
Cheers,
Bruce

Yes! These were real and intended for training military personnel and are fair game.

Im in. Great idea and nice timing.
I was just thinking of buying a Resin 1:76 Vickers medium tank and making it one in Australian service. We had 4 of them in the late thirties. Resin kit ok?
Cheers,
Tim

Absolutely!

Any other questions/concerns feel free to ask/post!

Jer;

"Sounds pretty cool - the more so as I have a Dragon early production Kleine PanzerBefehlsWagen 1B kit calling for me to build...

I'm thinking of an early trials vehicle mounting the first version frame antenna and the celluloid window in the hull MG port, and of course painted in the current Buntfarbenanstrich color scheme. Just in time for the 1936 Kummersdorf maneuvers!

Yeap. There were actually panzers with plastic windows in 1936! It'll be hard to wait until 01-2012 to start this up!

There are lots of German pre-1939 armor kits that could fit for this one: Dragon Pz.II B, Dragon or Tristar PZ. IA versions, Dragon and Italeri Pz. IB versions, Italeri SdKfz 232 6-rad, the MasterBox Pz.IA "modificado" and Kleine PzBefWgn 1A kits, some SdKfz 221 and 223 kits, those cool Bronco SdKfz 13 and 14 AC kits, etc. A rich field indeed for German fans!

If this goes, count me in!"

YEAP! I'm STILL on board!

Just need one more confirmation and I will submit the campaign.

Remember now is the time to address any campaign related concerns such as start and end dates

Bob: Good choice, and you are right on in your assessment. Early German armor is in abundance, and most are high quality kits

Phill: Excellent choice, there was a box stock build of one of those earlier this year by a talented modeller from Asia. I will see if I can find the post for you later.

Hi all. I'm in! Thanks for the PM Jeremy, and thank you and Tom for keeping this campaign rolling, I'm looking forward to it.
Time frames are fine with me. I'll have to get cracking on other campaigns to be ready for 1st Jan. but with 12months on the clock getting a build done won't be a problem!

Tim
