Here's a question. I have a Tamiya SU-122. I know it's probably a bit weak in most areas, but the worst by far is the tracks. I'm looking into replacements and am trying not to spend four times the value of the kit. AFV Club seem to have a decent set of T-34 tracks on offer, but I need to confirm two details:
1 what tread pattern should I aim for - waffle, or something else?
2 what width would be right - 500mm or 550mm? Or does the difference not show up in 1/35?
An alternative to after-market would be to get hold of some Dragon separate links. Can anyone suggest a source of individual Dragon sprues or Magic Tracks - preferably one that can be reached from the UK - and hint at which kit's tracks might be the most suitable?
Thanks v much.

Hi Sean .... when it comes to tracks theres a few out there which will work for you and yes one couple of them aint that cheap ( Modelkasten and fruil ) but they are both very very nice ..now the AFV Club tracks are cheap and very very good ... I'm using the AFV club 500mm wide tracks on a project T-34 ,soon to be JT-34 ..the difference between the 500 and 550mm tracks in 1/35 is very small ,,i think .05 of a mm ,,its that small but i could be wrong about the measurement ,,it is only 50mm or 2ins in R/L ,,the AFV Club tracks are to bis mate for anyone not wanting to spend a heap of coin on replacement tracks ,, to buy them i use Luckymodel ,, they send everywhere and there service is excellent .
When it comes to tread patten its doesn't matter as T-34's didnt have a huge selection of tread pattens and to think i have seen three different road wheels on one T-34 the tracks wont matter at all
.hope this can help ya out
