I have started on my Dragon Panzer IV Ausf G. It is a nice kit, with the usual errors in instructions. I have added the Verlinden kit for interior detail. I have added more details on the build in my blog.

I've tried three interiors on armor and have only managed to make it through one of them. Seeing your level of quality makes me want to do another. Great job.

The Verlinden kits are nice, but lack any real instructions, I had to review a bit of reference material to ensure I was putting parts in the right location.
The kit is: 1:35 Dragon Panzer PzKpfw IV Ausf G LAH Division, Kharkov 1943 ~ Smart Kit #6363
I really like the kit so far, going together very well.

If the exterior turns out even half as nice as the interior, this will be a thing of beauty. One single purpose, to kill him before he kills me.

The fit was "OK", the Verlinden kit intructions arn't the greatest, and I found some of the resin was a little warped. But with a little sanding, it was not bad. You do have to remove some of the plastic "struts" on the inside, but a good blade and some sanding there too, go in nice. Make sure you refer to some reference material to get everything in the right place.
Just put a base coat on last night, will be putting another coat on tonight. Then I am going to attempt a winter scheme using the hairspray method. Keeping fingers crossed, as this will be my first attempt at it.

Well a little more progress, here is the winter paint scheme. I used the "hairspray" method and Tamiya paint. The first coat was a 50/50 mix of Royal Gray and White, the a 25/75 mix, then just plain white. I was a little surprised how hard it was to get the effect, I used a stiff tooth brush and sanding stick to get the effect.
Let me know what you think.

Kevin, It may have been a pain to produce your weather paint job, but it sure looks like it was well worth the effort. Paint chipping and peeling looks very realistic.

I really like the damge on the font starboard fender. The angle it is bent at for some reason really attacts my eye!

Is the wet paint part of the red decal or did you add that? It looks very lifelike!
If you have time, would you mind posting a picture of the front right fender with the tracks installed? I really like how bent fenders line up with the ridgedness / straightness of the tracks. Thanks,
Mark

For the number, I applied the decal, then used Vallejo Red paint by hand to acheive the effect.
I will be posting pics of the complete model soon, I will ensure I inlude one of the right fendor.

Ok folks, here is the complete tank. Not sure I am totally happy with the weathering. So we will see if I don't put it back on my desk for a bit.
